Clare came in on her own for dinner. Vitello tonnato, rosemary potatoes, and two different Grenaches.
Then she came back for breakfast on Saturday.

Friday lunch went quickly.
Full room inside, verandah open to Hay Street, and a docket rail that filled up fast.
Lunch from 11.30. Book if you're coming on a Friday. Otherwise, just come to the table.

Lunch is on from 11.45. The salumi board, a burrata bruschetta, bread for the oil and a cold b**r. No one at this table was in a hurry.

Burrata, still soft in the middle. Cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, good olive oil, focaccia to mop it all up. Order it to share, then don't share it. Lunch or the early glass — it works for both.

Half serves are the quiet achiever of the breakfast menu. Big enough on their own, but there's always room to make it yours. This one went the way of bacon. No notes.
