CALLING ALL ARTISTS 🎨.
Entries are now open for Gallery 8’s "Spring Pop-Up Exhibition", showcasing emerging and mid-career artists in a professional contemporary gallery.
Exhibition dates: 5–26 September 2026

Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work, connect with new audiences. Our opening night will feature a "Live Art Battle, DJ and artist meet and greets.

Every selected artwork will also be eligible for the "Gallery 8 People’s Choice Award", with a prize package valued at over $1,000, including:

✨ $250 cash
🖼️ Professional artwork scanning and colour matching valued at $160
🖨️ One fine art print of the winning artwork, valued up to $300
✍️ Two Gallery 8 life drawing sessions
🎙️ One-hour Blue Room podcast studio session

Artists selected for the exhibition may also register for the Opening Night Live Art Battle, with separate cash prizes available.

Meet Tarik Dallinger-Dimizio, an emerging contemporary artist based on the Gold Coast whose work is driven by raw emotion, instinctive mark-making and a bold personal narrative.

Working across mixed media and painting, Tarik combines abstraction with symbolic imagery, text and spontaneous gesture. His works invite the viewer to respond emotionally before trying to interpret what they see.
