There is a lot involved in running a small, local business and behind every business is a number of other local businesses that help keep things running.

For the Zodiac Coffee truck, we wouldn’t be back out serving your favourite coffee without the help of Str8line Tyres and Alignments, Mavin Truck Centre, Macleay Air - Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical, and Macleay Valley Mower Centre. As we encountered each issue, they stepped in and helped fix them as quickly as possible.

The new generator is in and we are excited to be open again on Monday!

However, we do have an initial maintenance schedule we need to follow for the first week with a check after every few hours of operation.

Because of this, we will be running on a modified schedule this week, but plan to be back to our regular schedule the week after.

Some of you may have noticed the truck was wrapped up early again.

Well, after tyres and water pumps and fuel pumps, today was the big one.

The generator, the heart of Zodiac Coffee, gave out.

Thankfully, a replacement is already on the way and should be here tomorrow.

At this point, we are planning to be back on Monday, but keep an eye here in case things change.

So what about tomorrow you say? We will be over at Birdie & Basil on the Green (about 1km down the road at the Kempsey Golf Club, right next to Bunnings) from 7:00am with our Coffee & Bacon & Egg Roll special.

We hope to see you at Birdie's tomorrow and back at Zodiac on Monday!

The good news is that the last round of work on the truck should be done Monday.

The bad news is it's going to mean we are closed this Saturday and Monday to get it done.

But the good news is that Birdie & Basil on the Green will be open on Saturday from 8:00am with not only the same great coffee, but hot food as well! It's only a kilometre down the road at the Kempsey Golf Club, next to Bunnings.

Well, we tried! But we will be closed another day.Unfortunately the water pump decided to give up sometime in the night....

Unfortunately, we will be closed a bit longer for a little more maintenance.

However, we do have something special for everyone’s morning!

As a ‘Thank you!’ for your continued patience, we will be offering a Large Coffee with a Bacon & Egg Roll for just $12.50 at Birdie & Basil on the Green.

For those that haven’t made it to our little cafe yet, it’s about 1km down the road at the Kempsey Golf Club just past Bunnings (we’ll have the sign out front).

Even if you don’t want a Bacon & Egg Roll, we’ll still have a hot coffee waiting for you.

As the age old adage goes: “When it rains, it pours!”

Well our little Zodiac truck is under quite the thundercloud right now.

We are trying as hard as we can to be out greeting you every morning again, but to do that we have a bit more work to do on the truck.

We do want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding, we know how frustrating this unpredictability can be to your routine and we are doing everything we can to bring regularity back to everyone’s morning.

We can’t wait to see you soon, great cup of coffee in hand!
