It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of our little gem in Smithfield today. Chris and I, together with our partners, have tried our best over the past 19 months to create a viable business. Unfortunately, the ever rising cost for produce and energy, combined with an inconsistent trade, a shortage of skilled staff and many other issues like delivery platforms taking a 35% commission for our hard work, leave us no choice but to make this tough decision. We must thank Smithfield Shopping Centre and their management team for having us, and for trying to make it work until the last minute. We really enjoyed our time at That Good Place, and we will miss all our great regulars. Too many to name them all, please know that we thank you! We had great times celebrating your birthdays, hosting your date nights and your mid-week family dinners.
