So….. the big news is I scored a job at Wattaka cafe and will be starting tomorrow!! I can’t explain how exciting it is to be starting there! I hope to see a lot of my friends/customers there :)

On a good note, I got a message from Darren who we met at the time of the horrific bus crash. Darren was the producer of “Spotlight”. He came to the cafe and literally spent the day there talking to people. He was after a story but not about the crash but rather the town pulling together. He was so respectful when we told him it was too soon. He left the next morning but called in to wish us well. He has stayed in contact and he sent me a beautiful message regarding closure of the cafe.

After nearly 4years we have lost our premises in a bidding war on a neighbouring shop also owned by same owners. We couldn’t match the increased rent so our time is up. Something else may pop up in the future but for right now its all about emptying the shop.
