IT’S OFFICIAL — T’S CHINESE RESTAURANT IS ON THE MARKET!

Well, the sign is up, so I guess it’s officially real!

After many years of running T’s Chinese Restaurant here in Sheffield, we have made the very big decision to put our property on the market.

T’s has been such a huge part of our family’s life. We’ve spent years building the restaurant, cooking for our community, welcoming locals and visitors through the doors, celebrating birthdays and special occasions with you, and getting to know so many wonderful people along the way.

It’s definitely a little emotional seeing that FOR SALE sign out the front!

But we want to make one thing VERY clear:

T’S CHINESE RESTAURANT IS NOT CLOSED !

We are open and trading as usual, with our normal trading hours, and we’ll continue running the restaurant right up until the property sells and the new owners eventually take over.

So please don’t drive past, see the sign and think we’ve shut the doors , we’re still here, the kitchen is still firing, and your favourite T’s meals are still being served!

Selling is simply the next chapter for our family. Until that day comes, it’s business as usual at T’s, and we’d love to continue seeing all of our regulars and welcoming plenty of new faces through the doors.

Well… what a week!

After the little bit of excitement on Facebook for the last fortnight we honestly didn’t know quite what to expect. What we definitely didn’t expect was the absolutely incredible amount of support that followed.

Every comment, every like, every share, every private message, every kind word and every person who stood up for our little family business, THANK YOU.

And then you went one step further and actually came and found us!

Three markets in three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we have been completely overwhelmed by the support. So many familiar faces, so many new ones, and so many people who made a point of coming over to tell us they’d seen what happened and wanted to support us.

We also had the pleasure of meeting some awesome small business owners in our community and vendors we hadn’t previously met. It was so lovely to connect with you all and share the markets together.

A huge thank you to the market organisers for having us, and to all our customers new and returning for your continued support.

We may have finished the weekend exhausted, slightly delirious and wondering why on earth we thought three markets in three days was a sensible life choice… but our hearts are very full.

For a little family business from Sheffield, it has meant more to us than you probably realise.

And apparently we don’t know how to sit still, because instead of having a day off, we’re already back in the dumpling kitchen.

There’s flour on the bench, filling being tested and another BRAND NEW dumpling flavour being created for next weekend’s events.

Because clearly what we need after making hundreds and hundreds of dumplings all weekend… is to make more dumplings.

Thank you for turning what could have been a pretty ordinary week into one we’ll remember for a very long time.

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting us, supporting small business and, most importantly, eating an impressive amount of dumplings.

Now… back to the kitchen. We’ve got a new flavour to create.

September is looking busy for T’s Chinese Restaurant & T’s Chubby Dumplings!

Here’s our calendar so you can see exactly when the restaurant is open and where you can find Chubby Dumplings at the markets throughout the month.

A quick note about markets: all market appearances are weather dependent. If Mother Nature decides not to cooperate and a market is cancelled due to rain, wind or bad weather, we’ll keep you updated here on Facebook.

Where possible, if a market is cancelled and T’s Chinese Restaurant is scheduled to be closed that evening, we may instead open the restaurant from 5pm — so keep an eye on our page for any last-minute changes.
