The Wired Owl is looking for an experienced barista to join our team.
Community is very important to us at the Owl; it is what makes us who we are. That being said, we are looking for someone who is not only friendly, reliable and tidy, but someone who can efficiently pump out quality coffee while still enjoying a chat with our wonderful customers.
⁃ Roughly 20 hours a week (these hours may increase for the right person)
⁃ Pouring our own custom blend “Two Hoots” by , and a rotating single origin.
⁃ You will be working with a 3 group San Remo F18, 2 x Mahlkonig grinders (E80S and E65S) a Mahlkonig EK 43, a Perfect Moose automatic milk steamer, Acaia Lunar scales and a Puk Press.
⁃ Simple cabinet food only- mostly sweet treats so minimal food preparation and handling.
⁃ Must be competent in latte art. We are known for our beautiful latte art!
⁃ Must be confident dialling in coffee and making adjustments to grinders to work within our parameters.
- We are a close, little team, who love making good coffee for our large group of regulars who are pretty much family to us as we have been serving some of them for over 10 years now!
