CALL-OUT to our Members & Performers.

Shall we put together an RMC Band ?

Performers needed - Gala Concerts are coming back to the Roleystone Theatre stage (this will be our first Gala Concert since being back in our home venue)!

Theme for this year - ‘Life upon the wicked stage’
For example: Songs from musicals or plays about theatre/performing/auditioning etc. Or songs about being a musician on stage… or could even be villain songs (leaning on the 'wicked’ in the theme). * Do a quick internet search and get inspired!

Performances: Friday 31st July – 7:30pm and Saturday 1st August – 7:30pm at Roleystone Theatre
Tech run: Tuesday 28th July 7:00pm

Song type: Solos, duets, trios, small groups songs all welcome (you rehearse in your own time).
* You can submit preferences for up to 2 songs (maybe 3 if one is a duet/group song, and we will schedule songs based on how many people want to take part).

Music: Need to provide your own backing tracks (supplied to us ahead of time), or you can supply your own accompanist/accompany yourself.

Tickets: Will open 5th July (open to all ages)

We had some craking bands perform at this month's June Club night. If you haven't been to one of out meetings, we'll ya missing out. We meet every second Saturday each month, so come and support live music and artists. You'll also have a great time.

A sweet guy - way back in the ‘80s with The Models .
Such a brave choice. RIP James. 💜

We’re saddened by news of the death of veteran ABC broadcaster James Valentine, age 64.

James was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2024 and retired in February this year. He began his media career in the 1980s and presented Afternoons on 702 ABC Radio Sydney for more than 20 years.

Before moving into radio, James played saxophone in the rock band The Models and presented a children’s TV show. A man of many talents, outside of the ABC he was a movie reviewer for many years and appeared on programs such as Sunrise, Midday and Good Morning Australia.

Our thoughts are with his wife Joanne and their two children, Ruby and Roy.

📺📆Coming soon, James Valentine on Australian Story. In his final interview, James sat down to talk childhood, radio, a love of music and his year of living gratefully.
