The Bosses – Laith & Emma
If you’ve spent any time around the Club Hotel Ravenshoe, chances are you’ve met one (or both!) of these two.
Laith is a true Ravenshoe local who grew up in the pub after his family purchased the hotel in 1992. Alongside his siblings and parents, Lyn and Steve, Lyn’s parents and her brother Glen’s family,generations of hard work, dedication and community spirit helped build the Club Hotel into the much-loved local icon it is today.
Emma’s the new kid on the block arriving in Ravenshoe in 2021 after swapping her nursing career in Brisbane for a fresh start behind the bar at the town’s “top pub.” Not long after, she met Laith, and together they decided to jump in and take over the day-to-day running of the family business so Lyn and Steve could finally enjoy a well-earned semi-retirement.
Since then, they got married and got to work bringing the pub back to life following the challenges of the COVID years and are proud to see the old girl buzzing again.
When they’re not running the pub, they’re busy juggling a large blended family with kids ( and animals) of all ages. Whether it’s pouring beers, serving meals, taking phone calls, fixing something that just broke, or stopping for a chat, you’ll usually find one of them somewhere around the hotel.

Laith and Emma might be the bosses, but they certainly aren’t the only legends keeping the pub running!
Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing the incredible crew behind the bar, in the kitchen, housekeeping, bottleshop and everywhere in between.
