Howdy there folks!

So, some of you have been asking me what I've been up to this past year when you've popped by the hot sauce market stall on Sunday mornings... (Can you believe today marks a WHOLE YEAR since my lease on the building that housed This Borderland came to an end?!).

Well, the answer is "Not just hot sauce!"

I've also been busy building a number of furniture pieces for my newest venture - aurochsfurnituredesign

As some of you know, I've been building the occasional piece of furniture for years now.
But this past year - whilst being an almost unrivalled s**t show of a year in general - has also seen me be fortunate enough to, with the help of some very excellent people, start turning what was once a hobby into a new career.

Hey you!

Do you remember back to those halcyon days when Ox had a diner and he used to make hot sauce, and the world was filled with sunshine and puppies and lollipops??

Well, those days have partially returned, because you can now get Aurochs Hot Sauce once more!

Come and see Ox at the Kingsbury Drive Community Market at La Trobe University on Sunday morning from 9am til 1pm, and he'll sell you a little bottle or two of some of that good stuff that'll cure what ails ya!

Also Aurochs Hot Sauce will absolutely be available online soon!
So if you cannot get to the market because your hot air balloon is in the shop for repairs, or you ate a mushroom you found growing in the park and now you're convinced you're a sentient teapot called Gary and everyone is secretly trying to steal your delicious innards; well you won't have to wait too much longer!

Howdy there folks!!
It's been a little while, hey!?
Well, after pulling the diner apart and then having a monumental amount of sleep; I have finally resurfaced!
This is just a quick post today to tell you all that one of the things I'll be doing post This Borderland is building furniture, lighting etc under the name Aurochs Furniture Design (I'll let you know more details soon).
And the first item I'll be selling is the honeycomb-inspired main light fixture from This Borderland!
This was the absolute, very first thing that I built when I started fitting out the diner all the way back at the beginning of 2017, and as such it really means a lot to me.
But I don't have the space to install it anywhere now, so I'd love to see it go somewhere it'll be enjoyed as much as it was in the diner.
It's going for $1700, the dimensions are 2330 x 985mm, and I've just replaced all of the bulbs.
I hope one of you can give it the home it deserves!

I can't believe it's finally here.

It's always felt so far off in the distance; but no longer.

It is the last week of This Borderland!

A big thanks to all of you for helping to make the last 7 years some of the best I've had!

It's not all doom and gloom though, as I had a stash of delightful cheeses I needed to use up, so we have our old fan favourite Mac and Cheese croquettes back for this last weekend (or until sold out)!

There's also a record amount of cheesecake and cherry pie available, so make sure you come in at some point over the next 4 nights and have a final b**r with Ox (me)!

Thanks again for all your patronage and support along the way!

I'm really gonna miss this place (although I am going to ABSOLUTELY love sleeping for most of next week).
