Those who’ve visited our café in Osborne Park will definitely recognise this face.
When Max joined us all those years ago, he’d just driven across the country from Byron Bay with a dream of opening a café of his own one day. Perth seemed as good a place as any to start that journey. What followed was a mix of discovering that finding the right space is a lot harder than it looks and, we like to think maybe enjoying his life a little too much as part of the team as our cafe manager.
Max embodies everything we love about the café experience. He has a gift for building relationships, creating connections through the simple daily ritual of a coffee, and showing what true hospitality is all about.
For so many of our customers, he’s been a familiar face, a friendly convo, and a big part of what makes our café feel the way it does.
Today marks Max’s last official shift with us as he prepares to open the doors to his own café in the coming weeks. It’s been a long road, with months of delays and all the unexpected challenges that come with starting a small business, but seeing him bring this dream to life has been incredible.
