And that’s a wrap on Melbourne Cup at Matilda Bay.

One of our biggest Cup Days yet, and Perth certainly turned on the weather for it!

The restaurant was full, the Catalina Patio was buzzing and a few lucky guests walked away with wins.

The outfits were another story. Bright colour, statement hats, sharp suits... choosing our best dressed winners was not easy!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day what it was, and to our team who pulled off another very big Melbourne Cup at the Bay.

A very last-minute opening for Melbourne Cup!

We’ve just had a table for three become available in the main restaurant for Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup celebrations.

The event has been sold out for weeks in the main restaurant, so if you missed out earlier, this is a rare chance to join us.

The afternoon includes canapés, our oyster station, a seated main and dessert, plus a three-hour beverage package. Every race will be live across the venue, with best dressed competitions, sweeps and our DJ throughout the afternoon.

It’s the last week to try our Chef’s Selection, available Monday to Wednesday evenings for $89pp.

Leave the menu to the kitchen and settle in for a changing selection chosen by our Head Chef, starting with sourdough before moving through shared entrées, mains with sides and dessert.

No decisions required. Just take your seat and let the kitchen choose what comes next.

It’s that time of year again…

The days are getting longer, the sun’s around a little more and suddenly you realise Christmas is just around the corner.

Christmas and end-of-year bookings are already flying in at Matilda Bay, so if you’re planning lunch with the team, dinner with friends or the annual catch-up, now’s a very good time to get it in the diary.

The restaurant can accommodate larger groups, you can book a table outside on the Southern Terrace, or if you’re still looking for somewhere to host 60+ guests, we have limited availability remaining in the Roe Room.

Did you miss out on Melbourne Cup at Matilda Bay?

A handful of outdoor tables have just been released on the Southern Terrace, giving you one last chance to join us for Cup Day at the Bay.

Expect canapés, an oyster station, a seated main and dessert, a three-hour beverage package, every race live across the venue, Best Dressed competitions, sweeps and our DJ taking over the afternoon.

These are the only additional tables being released, and they won’t last long. Don’t miss your chance to spend Cup Day outside on the Southern Terrace.

Our $59 Lunch Special is available Thursday and Friday from 11am, with a seasonal menu built around premium produce and a choice of dishes across both courses.

Go bright with Skull Island tiger prawns with mango, grapefruit and chamoy, then choose from mains including BMS 5 Wagyu picanha, Shark Bay whiting or Wagin duck leg.

And if the weather’s on your side, take it outside to the Southern Terrace 🌞

A quick reminder ... We’ll be closed this Monday, 19th October, while the restaurant gets a little refresh and new carpet is installed through the dining area.

With the beautiful weather ahead, it’s the perfect time to join us on the Southern Terrace 🌞

Now open for the season Thursday to Sunday, the Southern Terrace is back for lunch, dinner and drinks overlooking the Swan River.

Come down for lunch that rolls into the afternoon, a few plates and a bottle of w**e, or dinner as the light changes across the Bay.

Bookings are available online, or walk in and join us on the day.

Available Monday to Wednesday, our Chef’s Selection is a shared dining experience chosen entirely by our Head Chef, with the menu changing daily.

Expect sourdough to start, followed by a changing selection of shared entrées, mains with sides and dessert, with each course chosen to complement the next.
