As soon as we found out about this unique, enchanting and magical Devonshire tea house, we had to try it—and ever since our first visit, we have been completely obsessed with it.
Everything about it is curated with such care and attention to every particular detail, from the charming cottage and delightful garden to the tea and the food.
There is such a lovely feminine touch throughout everything you have created, expressed in the little details, the elegance, the warmth and the exquisite sense of beauty that makes the whole experience feel so special. The atmosphere is clearly so thoughtfully conceived and lovingly maintained.
There is also something wonderfully folkloric about the setting. The cottage and garden have an almost storybook quality to them, as though you have stepped quietly into another world where, at any moment, some little woodland creature or fairy might emerge from behind the flowers, making the experience feel almost dreamlike.
It is so evident that you know exactly what you are doing, Amanda, and how passionate you are about what you have created. You can feel that everything is done out of love and with the intention of
recreating a beautiful, old-world, magical and relaxing experience for everyone lucky enough to visit.
I cannot think of a more romantic setting in which to enjoy a wonderful Devonshire tea and an amazing, abundant selection of sandwiches-from sitting beside the fireplace on a cold, rainy morning inside the cottage, to enjoying the enchanting garden on a sunny one.
And I have to mention your exquisite scones, which have received the highest possible approval from my English partner—who, being English, likes to think he knows a thing or two about a proper scone! He absolutely loves them and wholeheartedly approves.
And, of course, not to forget your lovely, friendly dog Charlie and your majestic cat, who always come to say hello.
We enjoy going for High Teas as well, but personally, what you have recreated in your cottage is something so unique, personal, warm and intimate that you simply cannot find easily in Perth.
You welcomed us from the very first time as though we were already regulars, and every visit is such a surreal bliss, such a poetic experience, accompanied by beautiful music as well.
It is truly an extraordinary gem, and I cannot stop recommending it to anyone who appreciates love, dedication, attention to detail, taste and good manners.
You are the perfect host-organised, precise, thoughtful and warm, with such an attentive eye for detail, and always lovely to chat with.
Thank you for what you do, and for creating such a magical little world for people to enjoy.
