Some monkey business for your little monkeys these school holidays.

To give you just a little break from wrangling, we have Volume 3 of the Dôme Junior Explorer activity book in cafes these holidays.

There's colouring, activities and prizes, including a 'guess how many' bananas the monkeys have stashed away inside this jar.

The night was a bit of a struggle, let’s be honest. Letting Mum get some sleep was the least we could do. Now, for a little school holiday learning, today's lesson covers how to achieve the optimal chip-to-sauce ratio.

What's hiding for our Junior Explorers these School Holidays?

While Mum or Dad grab a coffee and a few moments peace, Junior Explorers can be on the hunt to win a prize. 🐻 🐘 🐻 🦁 🦜

Five sneaky jungle animals are hiding somewhere in the café. Some are big, some are small, and some are tricky to spot at all. Look up, look down and explore every nook. Who knows what you’ll discover when you stop and take a look?

With one you missed him so much that you couldn’t wait for school holidays. With two it was a little trickier but you still got out and about. Now with three, it’s a bit of a mission just to get out the door, but there's no less joy in the little moments; coffee, cookies and colouring in.

It's been a long winter, and so much worse without her. After counting the months, weeks, days, you just can’t believe she is actually here and you couldn’t be happier.

Crafternoons started as a welcome chance to be creative,
but lately they have become so much more. A place to be inspired, share ideas or learn a new way to cast on.

And support that you didn’t even realise you were missing.

Inside jokes aren't funny just because nobody else gets them. It's the shared history, the understood shorthand, the sense of humour you've spent years developing ... and the fact that you both saw it coming and laughed anyway.

Sometimes it’s said with flowers, sometimes by snuggling in close.
Some say it every day, in a hundred small ways you’ve learned to recognise over the years. A cup of tea before you’ve asked. A full tank of petrol. Secateurs that are always sharp.
Some love languages take a lifetime to uncover, and are all the better for it.

The walls at home had started to close in a little, so today study needs a side-serve of café. Headphones on, notes out, laptop open - focused because of the noise, not in spite of it.

Alone in public is its own kind of comfortable. The hum of the room, a booth to yourself, and nowhere particular to be just yet. Solitude without silence, one of life's quietly underrated pleasures.

Grandpa already knows everything he needs to. All that matters is right there on his shoulder.
