June 16 marks exactly 10 years since we first swung open the doors to The Shearing Shed Cafe on Hampton Road. Looking back over the last decade, it is safe to say we have been through it all. From literal natural disasters to national culinary glory, the journey has been an absolute rollercoaster—and we wouldn't change it for the world.

Running a business in regional WA takes serious grit. Over the past 10 years, our resilient team and building have stared down:
* COVID-19: Navigating lockdowns, restrictions, and keeping our community safe.
* Severe Wind and Dust Storms: Cleaning red dirt out of every crevice more times than we can count.
* Cyclone Seroja: Standing strong through one of the most destructive storms to ever hit Northampton.
* 2 Mouse Plagues: A true test of patience and sanity, but we fought through them!
* An Electrical Fire: Just last week, we faced a major scare, but we are still standing!

* 29 Medals at the Great Aussie Pie Competition: Reaching the absolute top tier of Australian baking.
* 2nd Best Sausage Roll in Australia: Taking home a massive national silver medal for our legendary rolls.
* Voted Best Vanilla Slice in WA: Officially recognized as home to the state's most iconic Vanilla slice.
* 2 Graduated Chef Apprentices: Guiding local talent to become fully qualified industry professionals.
