Christian and Marley, after living in Byron Bay and Newcastle.

Osteria Papazzo is born from my love for cooking and my desire to share it with people.

“Piu’ che un’osteria era una casa del popolo, dove non si parlava di calcio e la televisione non c’era . Oggi suona esotico. Si entrava da una porta a vetri che faceva squillare un campanello. Serviva all’oste, un po’ sordo di guerra, per sapere dalla cucina che qualcuno entrava. Suonava anche all’uscita dietro ai saluti. All’Osteria ci si salutava tutti , entrando, uscendo” …”Le Osterie erano considerate una seconda casa, un porto sicuro che offriva al lavoratore sapori casalinghi. Erano luoghi di ritrovo, di convivialita’, in cui non esisteva un menù fisso, si preparava con quello che si trovava al mercato, la stagionalità degli alimenti era assicurata”

i love poetry but not just the written one like poems,
I LOVE everything that feels or represent Poetry, POESIA..like our handcrafted sourdoughs in this beautiful light, or the little yellow ladybird who was on our bread buckets out of the fridge before placing the sourdoughs in the oven, or like an old couple walking still hands in hands and dining and talking still so deeply and profoundly, or like the waves 🌊 early morning on a still day, or the sky full of clouds making beautiful shapes or rainbows and sunsets at arpoador in Rio de Janeiro 🥰 or I could go on and on…
I started reflecting on what poetry is to me while watching this little ladybird yesterday and so many Poetic feelings and moments came to my mind and I always hope and wish I can create and transfer some of that “poetic” feeling through our creations to your 💙💙💙at our little Osteria Papazzo, Caffe’, Cucina & Vino
