From October 1st, businesses will no longer be allowed to pass the surcharge on to customers. 🤷‍♂️
Our venues have never passed this surcharge on to our customers, and we won’t be increasing our prices to compensate for the change either.

BUT… other cafés, hospitality businesses and retailers may need to adjust their prices and that is 100% okay.
The cost of living right now is WILD, and it’s not just customers feeling the pressure. Small businesses are feeling it too.

I’ve been speaking with a lot of small business owners about October 1st, and honestly, they’re scared. Scared to increase prices. Scared of losing customers. Scared that, eventually, they may not be able to keep their doors open.
And that’s the part I really want people to think about.
If a small business has to increase its prices, please don’t be angry at staff or business owner, They’re trying to survive just like everyone else.

As small businesses, we sit here absorbing rising costs and trying to keep our prices as reasonable as possible, while banks continue to make hundreds of millions of dollars in additional profits.
To me, that feels completely backwards.
And before this turns into a “this party is better than that party” argument, I’m not interested in that. This isn’t just about Labor. It’s about governments, whoever is in power, making decisions that ultimately have consequences for everyday people and small businesses.
We’ve all been around long enough to know that election promises are absolutely bo****ks.

So, please just be kind.
Small businesses are hurting, and they need your support more than ever.
Shop local. Eat local. Support the businesses in your community especially the ones sponsoring your kids’ sporting teams, donating to local fundraisers and helping make your community what it is.
Because behind every small business is a person, a family and a whole lot of hard work. ❤️

Banana Bread Latte 🤯

Dan’s been working hard BOH today making up some homemade Banana Bread Syrup.

What he calls a B***h to make syrup tastes absolutely incredible, after mashing, boiling, mixing and sieving this is all that was left, one small bottle. This will be available tomorrow in your daily latte or until sold out.

So if you love Banana Bread, try a Banana Bread Latte tomorrow 🫶
