Big news, folks — 71 Mandalay is here to stay 🥳

Our new home will be called The Mandalay Kiosk, same Mandalay but a new chapter. We will be your go‑to spot for good food, cold drinks and island vibes. We’re using this quiet season to let the crew loose on some serious refurb action — the bar, kitchen and dining room are getting a full makeover 🤤

We’ll be back around mid‑November. Until then the bar’s open 12 – 7 pm Wednesday to Monday.

So swing by for a drink and have a yarn with the team — you might even catch a sneak peek of the new setup!

We’re open again this Sunday with beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and more sides than any reasonable human needs. 🍗

Our team has also unveiled a very posh custom carvery counter — more space, more shine, and absolutely no reason for it to look this fancy… but it does. 🤵

Come admire it while you tuck into the best‑value roast on Maggie. 🍽️

On Magnetic Island, roast pumpkin and potatoes aren’t just a side dish - they’re a full‑blown belief system 🕍

People don’t come for a “Sunday roast”… they come to worship at the altar of crispy edges and fluffy centres ⛪

🐑 Lamb Surcharge Notice 🐑

We love serving up proper carvery lamb every Sunday - however it’s hands‑down the most expensive meat we buy, but it’s also one of the favourites on the island.

To keep things fair (and keep lamb on the menu), every plate still includes one slice of lamb along with your choice of pork, beef & chicken.

If you’d like lamb only (or extra lamb) there’ll now be a small $3 surcharge.

This helps us cover the cost and keep the quality high without bumping up the price for everyone else.

Thanks heaps for understanding and supporting local - it means we can keep bringing you the good stuff every week.

Wow... Every week we near enough we have to double our meat + veg orders to keep up 🤣

We also keep improving and expanding our serving equipment to try and keep up with demand 🍖

Just been over in town again so picked up another 3 slow cookers 😆

The buffet line is going to look quite incredible this Sunday with this army of slow cookers full of your favourite veggies to self serve 🥕
