Sirromet parkrun

Sirromet parkrun Sirromet parkrun is a FREE, timed, weekly 5km event for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Sirromet parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the grounds of the beautiful Sirromet Winery and get physically acti

ve in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there! Please Note:
- Sirromet parkrun is not pram friendly.
- Dogs/pets are not permitted on the grounds
- No food or drink is to be brought onto the property, excluding bottled water.

Hey parkrunners,

Thats a wrap from Sirromet parkrun No 444, great to have all 58 runners & walkers, plus 8 volunteers aboard.
The liquid sunshine held off and a great outing was had by all.

Our 1st finisher was Jono Rossi (who arrived on time today) in 21.53, and our 1st female was Marie Coleman in 26.03.

We had 23 first timers to Sirromet parkrun, including Dylan Kenmuir doing his 1st ever parkrun. Welcome all, and hopefully you will be back for many more. Additionally 7 people recorded a PB - Well done everyone.

Thanks to todays vollies - Linda, Alan, Mary, Kathleen, Jasmine, John, & Liam. We couldn't do it without you all. Our roster is good next week, but on the 29th we need a timekeeper, then on the 5th we need a marshal & 2 tailwalkers. If you can help please let us know.

Hey parkrunners,

And here we go again, building up to the best parkrun in Mt Cotton, happening again this Saturday morning at 7am. We would love to see you along.
The weather forecast is for a little bit of liquid sunshine maybe, but im sure that wont dampen the parkrun enthusiasm!
Our course is in great condition at the moment, perfect for running a PB.

Thanks to our awesome vollies who make it all happen, this week we have Linda, Alan, Mary, Kathleen, Jasmine, John & Liam - thanks all, you are unselfishly giving up your run so that others can enjoy theirs. Next week we could use a marshal, then on the 29th we need a timekeeper, scanner, tailwalker, & a marshal. The weeks after that are in need of some vollie love too so if you can help, please do. Jump in now and get your fav spot!

You are most welcome to stay around afterwards for coffee or breakfast if you wish, please remember however, that dogs are not permitted at Sirromet Winery due to the wildlife.

Thanks to the 43 runners & walkers who joined us for event #443 this morning which included 14 first timers & 4 PBs!

Congratulations to Chase Gilbert who came home first with a time of 19.08 - such a blistering fast time.

Thanks as always is due to our volunteers who make our parkrun possible. Thanks Sue, Ian, Alan, Rach, Gordon, Meagan & Jen! If you're looking to get involved & volunteer soon, there are plenty of opportunities on the 22nd Aug and onwards.

Hey parkrunners,

Another week closer to Christmas......

And as your thoughts turn towards the weekend, consider this an invitation to join us at Sirromet parkrun, at Sirromet Winery, Mt Cotton this Saturday at 7am.
We can offer you a fun inclusive atmosphere, gentle exercise (or as gentle as you want it to be) over the beautiful rolling hills, then you can reward yourself with coffee or breakfast at the Cellar Door. What more could you want to start your weekend!!!

Our roster is mostly full - though we could use a marshal - thanks to Liam, Rachel, Alan, Meagan, & Jen foregoing their runs to volunteer so everyone else can enjoy their parkrun. Thanks team!
Next week we need a barcode scanner, then on the 22nd we need a barcode scanner, timekeeper, and a marshal. If you can help us fill these positions please shout out. Parkrun operates by volunteers giving up their run, without volunteers it doesn't happen, so please do your bit and share the load around.

The weather is looking good (like the 3 bears porridge, not too hot, not too cold), and the course is in great condition. And please remember that dogs are not permitted at Sirromet due to the wildlife.
We will see you at 6.50am for the briefing, then we will get under way at 7am. Look forward to seeing you.
