To the man who requested a caramel latte last week and got refused, hopefully you’re local and you get this message - come back in for your little treat and we’ll make you one on the house.

After almost 4 years, we’ve put our judgements aside and we’re ready to meet your every desire.

TUESDAY DINNER 3PM - 5PM
Moruya Riverside Park

Over the cooler months we’ll be offering a soup, stew or curry every Tuesday afternoon farmers market. Every week we feel so inspired by how lucky we are to have a thriving farmers market and we can imagine, in the years to come that the market grows to become a weekly place where people can shop, meet, eat and connect with their local food growers and their community.

We have some of the best small scale food producers in Australia right here in our backyard so why not come down, do your weekly food shop and hang around for a nourishing feed?

This week we’ll have classic pumpkin soup made with produce from and thickly buttered baguette slices on the side. We’ll also have a toastie option option each week starting with caramelised onions from and aged cheddar on

Real food only. Local, nourishing and delicious. Come down and support local food, connect with your community and be a part of creating the world you want to see.

WHERE IS YOUR CHOCOLATE COMING FROM THIS EASTER?

Are you supporting small artisan chocolate makers who are doing things right—paying farmers properly, sourcing ethical, consciously grown cacao that’s good for the Earth, good for your body, and good for the communities it’s grown in?

Or are you putting your dollars into cheap, nasty chocolate eggs—full of a heap of other s**t which support systems that are harmful for farmers, the land, and your own health?

Chocolate is one of those universal foods that almost everybody loves—and there’s a good reason for that.

Cacao, which all chocolate comes from, is an incredible plant. It has a long history of use in Central and South America by the Mayan, Olmec, and Aztec people. And when you choose to use this plant in its unadulterated form—like ceremonial cacao or cacao nibs—rather than a highly processed cacao powder, drinking chocolate or mass-produced chocolate product, you’re accessing some pretty amazing health benefits.

If you’re feeling inclined, have a look at the blog we’ve put together on our website about cacao and learn a bit more.

We source our cacao from in Tasmania. Paula runs a small family business processing cacao into what’s known as ceremonial cacao, which can be enjoyed as a drink, used in cooking, or taken as a daily ritual to support your health—and to promote pleasure, which let’s be honest, is why most of us reach for chocolate in the first place.

Your choices matter. I’m not telling you what to do. F**k, I’m no saint and have been known to throw many things down my gullet which aren’t aligned with my values and ethical framework, but it’s nice to have some awareness and be conscious about these things.

If we support big, dirty chocolate companies, we’re essentially complicit in the social, environmental, and economic issues that the cacao industry can perpetuate.

We’ve got 200g and 500g blocks of available to purchase, and we can also make you a beautiful ceremonial cacao drink when you’re out and about.

Come down and try it for yourself.

So, I apologise for trying to get everyone on the full cream, whether you prefer light milk for health reasons or for the taste, you now have the peace of mind to know that you can have a skinny coffee

And if you want to go full fat, of course we have the exceptional unhomogesised Jersey milk from on board every shift. Supporting local and supporting your health!

EVERY TUESDAY

Why do we think it is important to support the farmers markets in our region?

Well when we think about this a little deeper, who is it that we really want to support?

Do we want to support the people in our community who we know and love and see every day and share conversation and meals and experiences with?

Do we want to support the land and waters around us which sustain us, which are our life-support system, and which are nourishing our bodies, minds and hearts?

Do we want to support a local community which is rich in both ecological and cultural diversity, where people feel connected to each other and have access to food which promotes health, vitality and joy?

Shrinking the distance between producer and consumer means we’re using less resources and less energy and it redistributes economic power back to many small businesses and individuals in our community and away from big corporations such as our supermarket giants. Let’s get real here – a lot of the food at Coles and Woolworths is highly processed, transported huge distances and produced and packaged in ways which aren’t ecologically sustainable. A whole aisle of lollies, a whole aisle of chips, a whole aisle of soft drinks, a whole aisle of frozen junk food (and don’t even get me started on the fruit and veg) – and yet we are cornered into shopping at these places (myself included sometimes) because they are cheap and convenient. But the truth is, we are paying the cost later on, both individually and collectively as our health and wealth deteriorates.

Small businesses, small farmers and local food producers are here serving our community – they are more accountable to our democratic laws and have a stake in ensuring their operations are congruent with maintaining the health of people and the land around us, the land that literally holds and supports us.
