Teaching the new girl to be assertive… she’s still saying sorry to the coffee machine 😂☕️

Things I wish I knew before buying a café ☕️

1. Your own coffee will almost always be cold.
2. You’ll become the cook, cleaner, bookkeeper and maintenance person.
3. Your day starts before the doors open and finishes long after they close.
4. Something expensive will break at the worst possible time.
5. You’ll think about milk, wages and the weather more than you ever imagined.
6. Finding reliable staff is just as important as having good coffee.
7. You can love your business and still have days that feel really hard.
8. Regulars remembering your name can turn your whole day around.
9. Seeing people choose your little café makes the hard work feel worthwhile. 🤍

Would I do it again? Ask me after my coffee 😅
