Join us on Friday Nov, 26th at the open air Moculta Night Market from 5-9pm! Start your Christmas shopping amongst the 35 stalls. Enjoy dinner and dessert from the food trucks. The coffee van and the licensed bar will be serving up the goods. The kids will love the free Petting Zoo, a visit from Santa at 7pm and our fundraising raffle. As the evening cools down find a cosy spot around the fire drums, sit back and enjoy the live music. Due to fleeting phone reception/potential EFTPOS unavailability with certain carriers, ensure your wallet is full of cash as we surprisingly don’t have an ATM in Moculta! Checkout the event page for a market stall sneak peek.

The Bohemian Tea Room - Barossa Valley gals will be back for the Moculta Night Market 2018! Christine will be tempting us with her Thai Chicken and Vegetarian pies which will be paired with a Thai salad. Delish! That family pastry recipe has been handed down through the generations. If you love a crisp yet buttery pastry these pies are for you! Fiona will be brewing the herbal teas, whether you need a pick me up or something relaxing she can prescribe the perfect brew for you! And what would The Bohemian Tea Room be without the sweets! Oh my…the sweets! You will find the girls set up in their usual spot under the hall’s gumtree with their bohemian flair.

One of Moculta's hidden gems will be opened to the public on the Sat 26 & Sun 27 May, 1-5pm by the Moculta District Historical Society during the South Australian History Festival.
The state heritage listed Shannon Mausoleum is a 20-sided Italianate stone building that was erected by Eliza Shannon in 1876 as a memorial to her husband Abraham.

The Moculta District Historical Society will also be hosting a display at the Solider's Memorial Hall showcasing items from the Linke Farm Machinery Factory, which operated in Moculta from 1870 to 1930. The factory was best known for making the Barossa and Central St*****rs. Many young blacksmiths from all over South Australia and interstate learnt their apprenticeships at the Linke factory.

Afternoon tea by The Bohemian Tea Room, plants and metal sculptures will be available to purchase.

COST
Adult: $5.00
Child: Free
All money raised will be put towards the upkeep of the mausoleum and other historical projects around Moculta.

Soooo by now you have probably realised that Fiona and I (Christine) are super passionate about our small country town Moculta. It's a place unlike any other, community togetherness still exists and everybody is willing to lend a hand for a worthy cause.
This time we need a bit of help from the wider Barossa community as we are a town small in numbers but full of passion. :)
We would love you to consider voting for the Moculta Tranquility Trail - Fund My Neighourhood. Voting has opened and the post below contains the information about how to vote. I even sweet talked my daughter into making an voting instructional video...but it really is simple and should only take 5 minutes! So we would love if you would head over to the page give it a like and share this post with your friends! xx
