Every bottle of GRADA 01 starts at Fazenda Pinhal, in the south of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Pedro Gabarra is the sixth generation of his family to farm it, alongside his sister Mariana. To Pedro, coffee is a craft with no recipe: every harvest is a new year.
In 2019 Fazenda Pinhal was named Brazil’s most sustainable farm, and it was the first coffee farm in Brazil to be certified carbon negative. More than 40% of the land is kept as native reserve, double the legal requirement, and the family has planted around ten thousand native seedlings with SOS Mata Atlântica to protect the farm’s springs.
Their aim is simple: leave the farm better than they found it.
