We are looking for another legend to join our small team at Frank and Toms. Barista experience is highly regarded, however not essential as we are happy to train the right person on the job. Must be available Thursday and Friday's from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. Reach out if you are interested!

Meet Muhammad, our OG.

Mo started with us doing work experience a while ago as a part of his TAFE course, and has now joined us permanently, working on Tuesday’s and Friday’s.

Mo loves Rocket League and playing Minecraft with his best friend Natasha. He helps at home with the cooking and cleaning and loves going for walks with his family.

You will often find Mo playing pool with all the drivers on his breaks. Mo came to Frank and Toms because of his love for Dyson’s buses.

When asked if he could have any superpower, what would he choose, he said he would want to become a coffee cup stamping machine. We already think Mo the Machine has this power.

Mo is an avid tiktokker and makes regular tiktoks of all thinks Frank and Toms related when he is at work. Mo loves making (and eating) our Chicken Parma toastie!

We love seeing how far Mo has come over the last couple of years working with us, and can't wait to see what else he achieves while he is part of the Frank & Tom's family!

Let us introduce you to our newest employee. Meet Adrian.

Adrian has been working at Frank and Tom’s for a couple of weeks now, and is settling like a pro. We sat down with him the other week to find out a bit more about him.

He loves playing playstation and talking to friends, eating pizza, pasta and bacon and egg toasties, washing it down with his favourite drink Coke.

He is an Essendon supporter. He loves his two brothers Michael and Stephen. Adrian really wants to go to Cairns in Queensland, and when asked who he would like to be stuck on a desert island with, he said ‘my mum, she likes islands, I might leave her there! I’m only joking!’. As you can probably tell, Adrian has a cracking sense of humour.

He considers himself a good looking fella who tries new things, also loves Mr Bean because he looks alike!

You’ll see Adrian in the cafe on Monday’s, come and say hi and hear a joke or two!

We get asked this question A LOT. And well, it's totally reasonable.

Who are Frank and Tom?

Tom Dyson was the brother of Laurie Dyson, the founder of The Dyson Group of Companies; a bus company founded way back in 1952. Tom and Laurie had a close bond as brothers, and Tom was by Laurie’s side as he established his business. Tom also lived with an Intellectual Disability.

Frank Dyson was the son of Laurie. Alongside his brothers and sisters, Frank worked in and contributed to the growth and success of the Dyson Family Business, which now employs over 1000 employees. Frank also lived with an intellectual disability.

Our business was named after these family members to pay tribute to their contribution to the growth of a family business. But most importantly, to highlight the potential and the opportunities that people with intellectual disabilities offer to all businesses.

WE ARE HIRING!

Frank and Tom’s is a social enterprise. We offer meaningful work experience to teenagers and young adults living with intellectual disabilities, and we love doing it!

Frank and Tom’s currently operates a small coffee shop within The Dyson Group of Companies (a family owned and operated Bus Company), on the northern side of good ol’ Melbourne.

From this we have grown with Graze, which offers corporate catering and grazing tables for all types of events and occasions.

We would like to say a big welcome to the newest face at Frank and Toms!

For those of you who didn’t meet him this week, this is Muhammad. Muhammad is the very first member of our work experience program.

We are so happy to finally get this program off the ground, it’s been a long time coming (thanks COVID).

Muhammad will be in the cafe every Wednesday, so make sure you pop in and say hello!
