New to the menu. Spiced ox tongue, thinly sliced and by our reckoning not dissimilar to what we imagine beef bacon might be, covered in a Thai hot chilli salsa, Sichuan spiced pineapple. Now that, folks, is living!

Love may be all about companionship, generosity of spirit, contentment, happiness, and a life shared. That said, some things are simply too good to share and this fried chicken roll with American cheese, shaved cabbage, and miso ranch numbers amongst them. And as it is most assuredly our intention to foster unity and harmony between people, and not division, you will be able to enjoy one of these to yourself, sharing not incumbent upon you. Part of our Valentine’s set menu this year, reservations and details via link in bio.

Lime zest and fennel seed and star anise cured Kingfish (subtlety is king with this cure - well, Kingfish is the king, so to speak, but we’re quite sure you take our meaning!), tamarind ponzu, makrut lime leaf oil, Yarra Valley salmon roe, and chiffonade shiso. As with so much in life, less is more and this is certainty no exception. We are open today from 5 pm.

Was there ever a better time to lean into love? The answer, dear reader, is inherent in the question itself, for there can never be too much floating around the place, in our humble opinion. With that in mind, we’re throwing together one for the lovers this Valentine’s Day. Reservations essential, avoid disappointment and hit the link in bio to secure your spot now.

Soy sauce. One of the most iconic and fundamental condiments in the world and something we are particularly partial to. We give it a very good shake of the sauce bottle in our kitchen at shop 263. Such is our taste for the stuff that Keat teamed up with Broadsheet to take a more forensic deep dive and appraisal of some of the most readily available soy sauces on the market, as well as some that we use in high rotation at LD. Hit the link in comments to read the article and see the results.

The gift that keeps on giving. Gift cards for the shop. And while it may not be this exact steamed Humpty Doo barramundi with fenugreek and mustard seed curry and grilled okra, it will afford the recipient this and much more besides. We certainly wouldn’t advise on wrapping this up and presenting it as a gift, but rather a neat, discreet gift card will do nicely. Hit the link in bio to find out more and in the meantime we are open from 5 pm tonight for dinner.
