One of the things I admire most about you is the way you move through life. You have this incredible ability to stay open to what life brings, to find a way forward, and to see that there is always something more to discover, create, or become. Your belief in what is possible is contagious. Being beside you has made me braver, more curious, and more excited about life.

I love watching you turn that same energy into something that touches other people’s lives. You genuinely care about people becoming the best version of themselves, and I’m so proud of the impact you make simply by being who you are.

I’ve always felt incredibly lucky with the people life brings me.
I think that’s where so much of my confidence, my love for the world, and even my feeling of safety comes from.

Even though I consider myself an introvert, I can’t imagine my life without all these beautiful connections.

In a world where so many people feel lonely, I don’t think I realised just how blessed I am to know so many incredible people.

Thank you for always supporting me. For coming from far away just to be part of something so special to me. For the honesty, the joy we share, the late-night conversations, and for changing the world together at home around the table 😅

Only 3 years in Melbourne, and somehow it already feels so full of people I love.

A bit of everything…

Bring me back a few months ago and I probably would have called this a “busy time.” But I think now, it’s simply become regular life.
Growing my baby, LIANE Patisserie, learning to enjoy the challenges that come with it, finding balance somewhere between everything, and quietly building plans for what’s next.
Some days are messy, some are exciting, some are exhausting, but all of it is part of building something I care deeply about 💙

This morning, I experienced a situation that shook me quite a bit. I received a phone call from someone in our local community who was deeply upset and aggressive about the fact that we are a pre-order pastry studio rather than a traditional sit-down café. The conversation escalated into a hurtful lecture about how I choose to run my business and invest my finances.

As a small business owner, I pour my entire soul into this patisserie. Words can hurt, and today, they did. But the experience also reminded me why I need to share this with you all.

First, a gentle reminder of our boundaries: LIANE Patisserie is, and will continue to be, a takeaway-only, pre-order custom cake studio. We do not have a seating area or a coffee shop setup. This model allows me to focus 100% of my energy as a pastry chef on crafting high-quality, beautiful creations and being part of your most special moments.

Second, and most importantly, it is never okay to project anger or frustration onto someone else. We live in a stressful world, and sometimes people carry burdens they do not know how to process. I genuinely wish peace, healing, and healthier ways of coping with stress for anyone who may be hurting right now.

To anyone who has experienced this kind of abuse or projection, please stay strong and keep your eyes on your bigger vision. This not okay, and you deserve so much better. Do not let someone else’s darkness dim your light.

To my beautiful community who supports us, sends kind messages, and trusts us with your celebrations - thank you. You are the reason I put on my chef’s coat every single day and navigate every challenge that comes my way, without ever compromising on quality.

Let us choose to treat one another with compassion, respect, and love. Life is too short for anything less.

Some progress… and it feels good ♥️ .au

It’s been a little quiet here… but for a very good reason 💙
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on bringing Liane Patisserie to life, and now I can finally start sharing some of the progress with you.

This journey hasn’t been easy. There were months of paperwork, delays, challenges with finding the right people, and moments where everything felt like it was falling apart.
There were nights when I would wake up thinking my ideas weren’t good enough… that nobody would come to my patisserie and I should quit.
Moments of fear, stress, and feeling completely overwhelmed. Times when things didn’t go as planned, again and again.

But through all of it, we kept going.

And now, I can finally say, we’ve moved forward. The renovation is coming to an end, equipment is on its way, and for the first time… it all feels real.
I’m so happy to see the space finally taking shape, walls, ceilings, and details that once only existed in my mind.

This journey has taught me so much … to keep going even when things feel uncertain, to stay calm when everything feels out of control, and to trust that the right people will come into your life at the right time.

Most importantly, I’ve learned how important it is to have people around you who believe in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself.

We still have work to do before opening, but I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.
