Born in Paris. Now among the vines in McLaren Vale. 🍇

You’ll see the sign before you see the place. Red on white, on the main road, vines either side, hills in the distance.

Once you know it’s there, you won’t drive past.

As you enter the shed, the smell greets you first. Warm toasted crumpets, freshly brewed coffee. A room full of people who all had the same idea, somewhere worth the detour. Alive in the way a room gets when everyone decided, separately, that this was where they wanted to be.

Most mornings the shed smells warm and sweet, crumpets on the griddle, cake in the oven. Some mornings, not all of that’s coming from us.

Notes of malt, toasted grain and caramel drift through from next door, where roast their coffee.

The beans arrive green, from producers around the world. Roasted until they crack and colour. Some are released as single origins, showcasing the character of a particular place and harvest. Others are blended by hand into what you’ll find on our bar and the shelf.

We’re lucky to share this space with good people who care deeply about their craft. There’s something special about serving coffee that’s roasted just a few steps from where it’s poured. Roasted next door, brewed on our Synesso and served across the counter.

If you’ve enjoyed a coffee with us and would like to take some home, you’ll find Dawn Patrol beans on our shelf.

📣 WE’RE GROWING: ASSISTANT CHEF NEEDED
We’re looking for an Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team at Neighbours. We’re a growing café in McLaren Vale serving sourdough crumpets, specialty coffee and house-made food.

Working alongside Head Chef Angelle Boucher, you’ll be involved across café service, food preparation, cake production and our signature sourdough crumpet production.

Day to day your role will include:

- Food preparation and service
- Cake and pastry production
- Sourdough crumpet production
- Kitchen organisation and workflow
- Maintaining quality and consistency across daily operations

We’re looking for someone with previous kitchen experience who works efficiently under pressure and can manage multiple tasks. Organised and reliable, with a genuine pride in their work. Someone who enjoys being part of a small collaborative team and is keen to grow with a developing business.

This role would be 25–37 hours per week for the right person.

📣 WE’RE HIRING: BARISTA & FRONT OF HOUSE
Neighbours is a growing café in McLaren Vale serving sourdough crumpets, specialty coffee and house-made food, and we’re looking to add to our front-of-house team.

This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and takes pride in making people feel welcome. Coffee experience is important, but hospitality comes first. Coffee knowledge and workflow we can work on together. If you enjoy looking after people, work well under pressure, and bring warmth, professionalism and consistency to every shift, we’d love to hear from you.

Day to day your role will include:

- Coffee preparation
- Customer service
- Taking orders and operating POS
- Food running and table service
- Opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised café
- General café duties including dishes and supporting the wider team where required

Ideally this role would be 3–5 days per week for the right person. Previous hospitality experience preferred.
