Crisp mornings, warm afternoon sun, and all the little things we love about moving into winter at the shed.

The heaters are glowing, the dining room is buzzing with happy guests, the last of the vines cling to their autumn colours, and the kitchen is filled with the rich aromas of our new winter menu.

There's something special about this time of year at the Shed slower days, warm plates, and a front-row seat to the changing season.

Join us and soak it all in.

Tiffany & Tom’s beautiful celebration at the Currant Shed was filled with laughter, music, and so many unforgettable moments. From the dreamy florals to the dance floor energy, every detail reflected them perfectly. Here’s to slow sunsets, full hearts, and the magic of autumn weddings.

A visit to The Currant Shed isn’t complete without a wander through to our neighbouring Shottesbrooke Cellar Door.

Just a leisurely 5-minute walk through the woodlots, you’ll find yourself surrounded by vineyard views, rolling hills and some of the Fleurieu’s finest wines. Our ever-evolving wine list proudly showcases local producers, including wines crafted right here on the estate at Shottesbrooke.

Take your time, settle into the courtyard garden, soak up the Southern Mount Lofty views and enjoy a tasting straight from the onsite winery.

Good food, great wine, and a little space to unwind just as it should be.

Char-grilled miso-glazed eggplant served with a vibrant bed of spinach purée, topped with a fresh garden salad of shaved zucchini, blistered tomatoes, baby spinach, basil, and spring onions.

Finished with furikake and crispy quinoa for texture, balance, and depth in every bite.

A dish that celebrates produce at its peak, thoughtfully prepared, beautifully balanced, and designed to evolve with the seasons.

Golden vines, crisp autumn air, and a celebration filled with so much love.

Zoe & Lachland tied the knot surrounded by the beauty of McLaren Vale at The Currant Shed where every moment felt warm, intimate, and unforgettable.

An autumn wedding done to perfection.

Every detail at The Currant Shed starts with quality, locality, and craftsmanship.

The rye sourdough is made fresh every morning in-house, paired with butter churned using Fleurieu Milk cream and whipped with local Peninsula Providore olive oil

Finished with Olsson’s salt flakes and cabernet from the vineyard directly in front of the restaurant sometimes even using the lees from the wine itself to create even more depth and connection to place.

It’s thoughtful dining rooted in South Australian produce, done exceptionally well.

Pork belly lovers, you already know!

That sticky fish sauce caramel, the peanut, the herbs, the crunch, the hit of lime, if you’ve had it, you’re already nodding or drooling.

If you haven’t yet… well, now you know what to order.

Tucked between vineyards and citrus groves, The Currant Shed is the kind of place that reminds you why South Australia’s food scene is elite.

Seasonal produce. Thoughtful wine pairings. Long lunches that turn into afternoons.

No gimmicks just seriously good food done exceptionally well.

McLaren Vale might be full of icons… but this could be the most underrated table in the region.
