Rotary hoe and lime, as well as the burning to eliminate risk of pests and risk of infections for the next session of chicks. The pens are also fully enclosed with bird wire and netting to keep any wild birds out.

We put a bit of work in to getting the pens ready for the next session of chicks. Burning gets rid of a lot of debris and eliminates a whole ray of pests and risk of infection.
