Let's talk about parking 🚗🅿️

Council has extended the paid parking user experience survey for one week and we would love to get your feedback on what works, what doesn’t work and what could be done better.

All those who provide their feedback will go into the draw to WIN one of three double passes to comedian Dane Simpson’s show at the MECC this Saturday.

Have your say via Connecting Mackay - https://brnw.ch/21x5UUI

🛴⛑️ Buckle, check, ride!

It only takes five seconds to make your ride a safer one.

Research has found helmet use can reduce the risk of serious head injury by up to 70%.

As part of Helmet Safety Awareness Week, Beam Mobility is encouraging riders to complete a quick helmet check before every e-scooter trip:

✅ Fit it – Keep your helmet flat and level
✅ Buckle it – Secure the chin strap snugly
✅ Shake it – Make sure it stays firmly in place
✅ Snap it – Take your helmet selfie in the Beam app

Riders who complete the helmet check and selfie in the Beam app can receive 50 cents off each trip and go into the draw to win $500 in Beam ride credit.

Remember, helmets are mandatory when riding e-scooters in Queensland - there's a $518 fine - and can significantly reduce the risk of serious head injuries.

So before you ride, take five seconds to check your helmet and help keep Mackay’s paths and roads safer for everyone. 💚

🧺We are teaming up with the Mackay Farmers' Market to bring this art and garden inspired activity.
🌼We have a collective mix of our own grown tropical flower, veggie and fruit seeds to plant out, adding a flick of paint as we go.
