GOODBYE & ARRIVEDERCI

Two years ago, I set out to create something special with De Nicolo's Pasta & Wine. Having achieved everything I set out to do - and seeing our tables full every night - I am excited to close my little restaurant on a high note.

Our final service will be Saturday 23rd May

Friday's and Saturdays in April and May will be our Chefs Set Menu only.

Everyone with gift vouchers please make your reservations ASAP via our website denicolos.com.au or OpenTable.

Thank you to all who visited, our treasured regulars, and of course...my sensational team, old & new, for bringing the story to life each night ❤️

We're on holidaaaayyyy!!

Back to it Wed 27th August for all your Italian influenced stomach yearnings.

In the meantime...hit up our mates for the best pizza around...word on the street is they're as good as the real neopolitan pizza in Naples!!

P.S. you can still book online, up to 60 days in advance.

P.P.S. in September we're changing to Tues-Sat dinners *and* Saturday lunches too!

*1 Year Old Today*

We kicked our doors open to the public for the first time on this date 12 months ago!

Year One of restaurant ownership has been life affecting, challenging and rewarding in ways never previously imagined.

MASSIVE shout out to all the staff, past and present, old friends, new friends, suppliers and acquaintances that have all played a part in making De Nicolos so special in such a short time ❤️

And of course our loyal and dedicated guests, patiently waiting for a booking to come available and embracing the anticipation of focaccia, margherita ravioli and panna cotta. 🍽️

We've loved seeing everyone's favourite tipples brought in over the past few months!

Now we have our very own unique Italian beer + wine list we are excited to serve beverages that not only matches beautifully with our hand made pasta but also continues to tell the story of our little Italian restaurant.

See you soon for Peroni, Chianti, Limoncello and everything in between ❤️

Starting from Wednesday 28/05 we will be offering a very unique and exciting beverage list to go along with our hand made pasta!

We've got a trio of all-italian lagers, an extra dry prosecco, rosè, unique whites, proper Italian reds, and a couple of aperitivos. You can't get wine like ours anywhere else in Mackay!

Can't wait to crack open some bottles for guests next week.

*We will still be doing BYO while we develop our beverage service, but highly recommend trying some of our drops!*

WANTED: FRONT OF HOUSE LEGEND

In preparation for re-opening on Jan 8th we are on the hunt for one front of house legend, starting off as casual with possibility of part time or full time for the right candidate.

5 shifts per week / Wed-Sun evenings / 20hrs as casual with potential for FT hours later on.

This is an independent role as our team only has 3 staff including boh so you will be on the floor on your own for parts of your shift but support always provided by our owner who floats between boh and foh.

Responsibilities:
-Greeting guests and showing them to their seats.
-Taking and serving drinks orders (we are BYO so no alcohol service)
-Taking orders, running food and clearing tables.
-Using the till

The Right Person:
-Friendly and engaging people person
-Reliable and punctual
-At least 2 years experience in a similar role
-Willing to learn, follow direction and be an essential part of a small team
-Excited about hospitality and giving our guests the best possible service at each and every opportunity.
