The faces behind TISCH. 🤎
Most of you know me, Sophia. The one who had this crazy idea after a Euro summer to open a café, and somehow arrived back in Tassie just as the perfect little spot in Lindisfarne fell into my lap.
Some of you also know that I have two beautiful girls, H & S. These two pop up behind the counter at TISCH every now and then, but it’s actually what happens behind the scenes that makes me most proud.
It has been a huge change for the girls to lose their treasured mornings with Mummy. They basically had to grow up overnight and have been absolutely amazing at adjusting to our new life. 💕
They are also the reason we are very strict on our 2pm closing time — because as much as I love TISCH, I will not be missing school pick-up! 😂
In slide two, you’ll find our littlest darling boy, Bronson. He joined us rather unexpectedly in January, and now I genuinely can’t imagine our family without him. If you spot us walking (or, in Bronson’s case, prancing) around the neighbourhood, say hello. He loves a pat and absolutely thrives on the attention. 🐶🐕
And last but not least, Zachary — or Zac, as you’ll know him. The larrikin who might end up serving you and dropping a few bombs while doing so. 😅
Without him, I honestly wouldn’t have survived those first two weeks at TISCH. He was also the one backing the crazy plan to invest our hard-earned savings into my dream.
He didn’t give up when things got really hard (insert endless bearaucrazy challenges 😂), saw the light at the end of the tunnel and reminded me that this had been a life goal of mine for so many years.
And don’t fear if you spot him behind the machine — Zac has had extensive barista training by yours truly, and his milk steaming is absolutely on point. 😤☕️
So, this is us.
We gave up a lot to open TISCH, to fulfil a lifelong dream and to build something we hope will create a beautiful life for our family — although, let’s be honest, selling coffee was never going to make us rich. 😂
We love getting to know all of you, meeting your families and hearing your stories. 🫶
Thanks for being part of our little TISCH family. 🤎
