Good food deserves a good bottle. Or a good glass.
Our seasonal menu is built for exactly the kind of eating we like at The Oak: generous pub favourites alongside dishes that make the most of whatās good right now. Come in for a parmi, settle in over steak frites, order a few things for the table or make an evening of it.
Then thereās the wine list.
Weāve put together a broad, curious list that goes well beyond the standard pub offering, with plenty of Tasmanian bottles alongside some excellent mainland Australian producers. Sparkling, riesling, pinot gris, chardonnay, rosĆ©, pinot noir, shiraz, cabernet and a few less predictable things in between.
Youāll find Tassie names including Holm Oak, Pressing Matters, Freycinet, Stoney Rise, Invercarron and Dr Edge on the boards, with plenty available by the glass if committing to a bottle feels overly ambitious for a Tuesday.
Come hungry. Have a look at the boards. Ask us whatās drinking well. Stay for another glass. š· š¾ š„ š š§ š« š½ļø š„
