Mother Nature has decided Lakes Entrance needs a good watering, so **The Cove will be closed tomorrow**. 🌧️

We’ll leave the weather to the ducks 🦆 and be back slinging coffees when the skies behave themselves!

🏐❤️ **LET’S GET CUSTARD TO BRISBANE!** ❤️🏐

If you know **Marilyn — or “Custard” as we know her —** you probably already know this young lady has a serious talent for netball.

What you might not realise is that **she’s only 12 years old.**

This year, Custard has:

🏆 Won the **ODFL Under 17s League Best & Fairest**
🏆 Been named **Equal Best & Fairest at Lindenow South Football & Netball Club**
⭐ Been talent identified at the **VASCAL Statewide Carnival in Bairnsdale**

And now that talent has earned her an incredible opportunity…

✈️🏐 **Custard has been selected to play netball in Brisbane this January!**

For a 12-year-old local kid, this is a pretty special achievement — and we reckon it's something our community can be proud of.

Of course, opportunities like this come with travel and other expenses, so Custard's family has started a GoFundMe to help get her there.

🌧️🥶 THE COVE HAS OFFICIALLY SURRENDERED TO THE WEATHER 🥶🌧️

Good morning everyone!

We’ve looked outside.
We’ve checked the temperature.
We’ve watched the wind.
We’ve considered our options…

…and we’ve decided NOPE. 😂

With Mother Nature apparently waking up this morning and choosing violence, The Cove will be CLOSED for the day.

It’s cold. It’s wet. It’s miserable. And quite frankly, even the pelicans look like they’ve had enough. 🐦😂

So today we’re taking the sensible option — staying warm, keeping dry and pretending spring is still planning on turning up at some stage. 🌧️💨🥶

We’ll be back serving up the brew that is true as soon as the weather remembers we live in Australia and not Antarctica. ☕️😂
