It’s with a very heavy heart that I’ve made the decision to close the doors of Roma and Kay Cafe forever Friday 3rd January 2025.
Despite some interest a sale of Roma and Kay Cafe has not eventuated. I had really hoped that Roma and Kay Cafe could continue for the community of Lake Grace and I do feel like I’m taking a special little place away from you all. And for that I’m truely sorry. But my next chapter back on the farm is calling, and a life there being more present for my little family matters most.
With a bit of hard work and the incredible support of the beautiful community of Lake Grace, and visitors this little business has thrived. I’m incredibly proud to have provided a cafe with really good coffee for you all. What has been more beautiful is the connection you’ve all shared in this little cafe. Over countless cups of coffee you’ve laughed and occasionally this little cafe has been a place of support for each other on harder days. I’ve achieved so much more than I’d ever hoped, hosted events, supplied catering to events and discovered that you all surprisingly love my take on cooking - which is simple and wholesome food. So many of you make us a part of your day, and your hellos, conversation and kindness will never be lost on me. Whether you came in once or every time we opened our doors thank you for everything.
Of course Roma and Kay would not be what it’s become without the beautiful staff who have given so much to my little business. Thank you to all of you for being part of Roma and Kay and the friendship and support you’ve given me.
To all my amazing suppliers and brands thank you for being part of this journey. Especially the crew at Margaret River Roasting and our local Lake Grace IGA you’ve been the key to my success.
Lastly I’m so grateful for my beautiful family and friends who helped me create and build this business to what it has become. None of this could have been possible without you. It’s no denying small business can be a rollercoaster and they’ve supported me every step of the way.
