We’ve just been told by the Baking Association of Australia that our Cowboy Beef Pie has been crowned Best Flavoured Beef Pie at the Australia's Best Pie Competition last week!

🎉 Happy 10th Birthday, Country Cob! 🥧❤️

What an incredible journey it has been.

Ten years ago, we started with a simple dream — to create pies that were delicious, different, creative and unique. We wanted to bring something special to our community, even though we had very little knowledge about making pies at the time.

We still remember our first week in business. We sold around 300 pies and looked at each other and said, "Let's make a change." Fast forward to today, and we're humbled to be baking around 10,000 pies & pastry every week.

Along the way, we began experimenting with new flavours and unusual fillings, especially Asian-inspired creations. At first, many people weren't sure about them, and honestly, we had plenty of failures. There were lots of trials, lots of errors, and many pies that never made it to the display cabinet.

But we kept going.

Today, we're incredibly grateful to have been named Australia's Best Pie Maker five times, won more than 400 awards, and served countless pies to pie lovers from near and far.

None of this would have been possible without you.

To our loyal customers — thank you for believing in us, supporting our crazy ideas, and being part of this journey.

And to our amazing team — thank you. Your hard work, passion and dedication are the real reason behind our success.

We're proud of how far we've come, but even more excited for what's ahead.

Eyes on the pies! 🥧 The winners of Australia’s Best Pie and Pastie Competition have just been crowned for 2026, with Country Cob Bakery's Malaysian prawn pie taking the title of the overall Best Pie.

Across three fierce days of competition on the Gold Coast, hundreds of entries faced a double-evaluation by a well-respected panel. First, each pastry was assessed as a cold entry to inspect the bake, then heated and tasted again while hot – with the combined scores deciding who walked away with the titles of Australia’s Best Pie and Best Pastie.

🥧🏅 GOLD RUSH ON THE GOLD COAST! 🏅🥧

Day 1 of the Australia's Best Pie & Pasty Competition and our team has already picked up 8 Gold Medals 🥇 and 3 Silver Medals 🥈!

Hundreds of pies and pasties were judged today, and we're incredibly proud to have won the most Gold Medals on the opening day.

But we're not done yet! Two more days to go, and we're hoping to bring home a few more shiny medals. 🤞

On the final day, all Gold Medal winners battle it out to crown the best in each category, and then the category champions go head-to-head for the ultimate title...
