The Tweed has been named in Lonely Planet's Best in Travel for 2027 🌏

The team at Tweed Tourism Co are thrilled to share that The Tweed is the only Australian destination on Lonely Planet's global Top Destinations Hotlist for 2027, and one of just three places recognised across Oceania.

Lonely Planet's list of 50 destinations and experiences reflects what travellers are looking for right now: slowing down, escaping the crowds and finding meaningful experiences beyond the obvious. The Tweed delivers all of that and much more.

Lonely Planet's Destination Editor for Oceania, Jessica Lockhart, said the time has come to let international travellers in on the secret: the space between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay is a destination in its own right, and one worth lingering in.

The Tweed Tourism Co was thrilled to bring local tourism operators together last Wednesday afternoon at the stunning Sēlah Valley Estate in Limpinwood.

Operators had the chance to connect with each other and enjoy delicious catering by Behind Closed Doors before heading into an incredibly insightful session with our three guest speakers.

The discussion covered all the tips on maximising your website visibility, understanding algorithms, chat bots, using AI tools and social media and marketing changes and challenges.

Huge thanks to the team at Selah Valley Estate for hosting us all and to Azzie from Apex Ad Agency, Leanna from Whyte Space Social and Kristie Lau-Adams for sharing all your expertise!
