We’re reaching out and asking our wonderful customers, locals and the wider community for help.

Stollen Car white 2023 Nissan sports coupe. It was spotted in Loch and has now reportedly been seen around Wonthaggi. The vehicle has had numerous number plate changes, so please keep an eye out.

We know what small communities can do when they come together, and we're hoping our amazing local network can help us keep an eye out.

If you see the vehicle, please do not approach it or put yourself at risk. If you can, take note of the location, time, direction of travel and any details you can safely gather.

Please message our Facebook or social media pages, call us, and report any sightings to the police. The more eyes we have out there, the more chances we have.

Winter might be settling in outside, but things are heating up here at Kernot Store.

Our woodfired oven is burning hot, turning out delicious, cheesy pizzas fresh to order, while inside the Coonara is glowing, keeping the dining room warm, cosy, and inviting. It's the perfect place to escape the cold and settle in for a proper country meal.

One of this season's favourites has to be our Slow Roasted Pork Shank. Cooked low and slow until it's fall-off-the-bone tender, then served with creamy mashed potato, seasonal winter vegetables, and finished with a rich red wine and garlic butter sauce. It's comfort food at its very best and exactly what these chilly winter days call for.

Whether you're stopping in for a warming lunch, a cosy dinner, or a woodfired pizza shared with family and friends, we've got everything you need to chase away the winter chill.

A much-loved regular here at Kernot Store, Hazel never misses a chance to pop in and say hello. She arrives with perfect manners, greets everyone like an old friend.

Whether she's soaking up the country air, supervising the front porch, or patiently waiting for someone to tell her she's a good girl (which she definitely is), Hazel always brightens our day.

We absolutely love seeing our furry regulars become part of the Kernot family, and Hazel has certainly earned her place.

Sunday 6th September is fast approaching, and we're getting ready to celebrate all the amazing dads, grandads, poppas, father figures, and the special blokes in our lives.

This year we're making a weekof it, because let's be honest... one day just isn't enough! Just ask them

🎶 The Vintage Vets will be joining us on Father's Day from 12pm to 3pm, bringing all your favourite tunes to make the afternoon even more memorable.

We'll be taking bookings for:

🍳 Breakfast seating open till 11am
🕚 First Lunch Sitting - 11:15am till 1 pm
🕐 Second Lunch Sitting - 1:15pm till close

Bookings are essential and can be made by:

We just have to give another shout out to the incredible team at Loch Brewery & Distillery.

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful village of Loch, South Gippsland, their brewery is something truly special. Built inside a stunning 100-year-old red brick bank, the original banking hall has been transformed into their Cellar Door, while the adjoining old butcher's shop has found a new lease on life as their 12hL brewery.

It's an amazing piece of local history, brought back to life with even better local beer.

Here at Kernot Store, we're incredibly proud to stock these fantastic beers and support another passionate local business that's doing great things for our region. There's something pretty special about enjoying a locally brewed beer alongside a great meal, knowing you're supporting South Gippsland every step of the way.

🌉👹 You've all heard the story about a troll under a bridge... haven't you? 👹🌉

Well... we think we've found ours.

For years, there were whispers of a grumpy old troll living under the Kernot bridge. Most people laughed it off... until one day he finally decided he'd had enough of all the traffic.

Legend has it he climbed out from under the bridge, stretched his legs after years of listening to tractors, motorbikes and caravans rumble overhead, folded his arms and declared...

"Righto... nobody's crossing today!" 😂

Some say he was tired of hearing, "Are we there yet?"

Some reckon he just wanted a quiet afternoon nap.

Others believe he was simply upset because nobody had brought him one of our woodfired pizzas.

Whatever the reason, he's standing his ground...

Or at least that's the story we'd much rather tell.

The truth isn't quite as exciting. Our "troll" is called maintenance, and unfortunately its just as stubborn.

here's the latest update...

✅Fabrication of laminated timber (Glulam) is progressing in USA.

✅The laminated timber (Glulam) is expected to arrive in Melbourne in August subjected to no impacts on the shipping from the ongoing middle east war.

❌ No, your cousin's mate didn't sneak across yesterday.

❌ No, there isn't a secret back gate, magic password or hidden country lane.

The road is closed... completely closed.

Trust us, if there was a way through, we'd be the first to tell you.

The good news is Kernot Store is still open as normal, and we're absolutely worth the scenic drive. The woodfired oven is burning, the Coonara is keeping things cosy, the coffee machine is working overtime, and the kitchen is serving up all your favourites.

So if you're planning a visit, Take the detour, enjoy the drive through our beautiful countryside, and come and spend a few hours with us.

Our kitchen will be closed, but don't worry... our woodfired pizza oven will be firing, serving up all your favourite pizzas fresh from the oven. 🍕
