Today was one of those days that reminds us how important kindness and respect truly are.
One of our delivery staff members was verbally abused by a customer today and was almost physically assaulted while simply doing his job. He was left shaking, frightened, and deeply distressed by the experience. No one should ever have to feel unsafe at work.
The incident was serious enough that he called 000 to report what happened.
Our team works hard every day to serve our community, and while we understand that mistakes or frustrations can happen, there is never an excuse for abuse, intimidation, or violence.
We stand 100% behind our staff. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect
