Hello! 👋

We would like to introduce ourselves to you all, as the proud new owners of Atlas Espresso (Formerly The Stagg - City) soon to be named Zimmah Coffee - City.

We are Zimmah Coffee Roasters. A local specialty coffee roaster, supplying Hobart with quality beans and brews for over a decade.

We are honoured to be in this space and are so excited for what the future holds.

You will have noticed some changes already, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the friendly face of Jono (The Stagg Midtown) who we are pleased to announce is the employee of the month August ‘24. Jono will be with us a little while longer, so be sure to come in and enjoy the banter!

To our dear valued customers & friends,

We want to inform you that tomorrow will be our last day as the owners of The Stagg ( Atlas ) cafe in the bus mall. We are incredibly grateful for your support and patronage over the last 16 years. We sincerely thank you for being a part of our journey.

Please note we will be closing the door at 12pm tomorrow.

We are handing the reins over to the great team at Zimmah Coffee from next week. You will recognise most of the faces as the new owners have asked most of the staff ( including Jono! ) to stay on.

Our coffee machine is having technical problems 😑. The technician is on the way but as I write this we are not able to make coffee 😢

The time has come for Sue & I to slow down a little and simplify our busy lives. We plan to continue at our The Stagg Midtown store as well as operating The Keep but we are ready to let this amazing location on the corner of Elizabeth and Macquarie Streets go after more than 15 years.

We have operated very successfully in this space since 2009. We currently trade Monday to Friday (til 2pm), running est 50kg per week.

Literally thousands of cars and pedestrians pass by this door every day and we are surrounded by many other businesses, offices and hotels.

We are blessed with hundreds of precious every day regulars as well as many tourists, especially cruise ship passengers.

The asking price will be well below market value and include everything here.

This is an incredible opportunity for the right person, couple or group to take over the absolute best location in Hobart, with a proven record of long term success and with a built-in customer base.

We are intending to revert to being called Atlas Espresso before sale to avoid any confusion with our other STAGG café. You could keep this well known name, or use your own branding if you prefer.
