Sales go up and down, but this kind of support means the world. 🔥

One of the best things about running a local café is winning the hearts of your neighbours.

This legend is one of ours — a physio, an absolute beast in the gym, and a good mate from the neighbourhood. He dropped by for a coffee and left me with this cracker of a line:

Too right.
Good coffee fills the cup — but community fills the heart.

Another table of coffee lovers ordered pour-overs. coffee people somehow travel in packs. 😂

Funny thing is, people are paying more not to drink faster, but to slow down together.

And honestly, I don’t mind repeating this scene every day. ☕️🧡

A place that makes me happy. ☕️

Today, a whole table ordered pour-overs. I wanted to brew them all at the same time, so they could enjoy the experience together, compare notes, share flavours, and discover the coffees side by side.

Seeing a row of V60s waiting to be brewed reminded me of the journey—from chasing consistency to pursuing true craftsmanship.

The patience.
The practice.
The attention to every detail.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to slow down and wait for a hand-brewed coffee.

You are the reason this little corner makes me happy. 🧡

🥣 Grandma’s Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup + toast — $10

A warm bowl, made from listening. 🧡

After hearing the stories and voices shared during the Elderly advocacy and volunteers gathering, our chef went back to something close to the heart — his Grandma’s Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup.

Slowly cooked, comforting, simple and honest.
Served with toasted bread for dipping into warmth and memories — just in time to warm up the winter days.

Today, Plat became a meeting place for the volunteers of Elder Rights Australia — sharing stories, supporting older Australians, and strengthening the neighbourhood we all call home.
Real neighbours. Real conversations. Real community.

Another beautiful afternoon at Plat Coffee.
Life is too short, focus on the good thing.

So grateful to ._doctor_music for bringing such heartfelt music into our little corner of Heidelberg, and a warm thank you to for supporting this wonderful community music program.

With good music, chef-made bites, coffee, and a lot of love from neighbours, the café became more than a venue — it became a place where people gathered, listened, chatted, and shared the moment together.

Chillin’ in Banyule at Plat Coffee 🎻☕

We’re excited to welcome Dani & Tanya to Plat Coffee for an intimate afternoon of storytelling, banjo and fiddle — part of the Chillin’ in Banyule music program.
