🛳️ The Kombi went to sea today! 🌭

Bumping in for Mode Festival meant one thing nobody warns you about: the only way onto Cockatoo Island is across the water. So the Volkswurst Kombi rolled onto the barge this afternoon and sailed across Sydney Harbour. 🇩🇪

She's now parked up inside the island's old industrial hall, surrounded by girders and giant machinery, getting set for Sunday. Not a bad office. 🔧

🌭 No room for the Kombi? No problem.

We recently brought an authentic German lunch to Shippit, serving 70 employees directly from their office kitchen.

Freshly prepared hot sausages, giant Bavarian pretzels and all the Volkswurst flavour, without needing to bring the Kombi inside. Our team set up in the kitchen, served everyone fresh and turned lunchtime into a proper gathering. 🇩🇪

🎉 150 years of Henkel, celebrated at Taronga Zoo! 🦒🌭

What a way to kick off the school holidays. We spent the first day of the break at Taronga Zoo with the Henkel team, marking their 150th anniversary with employees, partners and plenty of very happy kids in tow.

Our restored 1970s VW Kombi set up on the lawn, and it turned into exactly what we love most: a gathering point. Adults comparing notes over a bratwurst, kids on picnic rugs with giant Bavarian pretzels and a harbour view behind it all. 🇩🇪

And it wouldn't be Taronga without the animals getting a look in. We saw a giraffe enjoying lunch with the Sydney Harbour Bridge as its backdrop, and even a mother duck with her ducklings in tow. 🐣

The Henkel-branded cupcakes were a sweet way to celebrate 150 years. 🧁

A big thank you to the Henkel team for having us along for such a milestone. 150 years is worth celebrating properly. 🙌

🌭 Cold, windy and wet, but the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions still fought it out at Henson Park! 🏉

The turnout was smaller than it deserved, but the players didn't care one bit and battled from start to finish.

We were there from the Kombi through the rain, serving hot bratwurst, kransky and currywurst to everyone who braved the weather. Honestly, that's the best kind of crowd. 🙌🇩🇪

A big thank you to the players who put on a contest in conditions like that, and to everyone who pulled on a coat and came out to support them. 🩵

We loved bringing the Volkswurst Kombi to Maitland Park, Maitland, where a stunning line-up of classic Toranas, club marquees and car lovers filled the showground. 🚗💨

Our red Kombi was firing up the grill and serving German street food alongside an incredible display of colour, chrome and classic car character. From the cars to the community atmosphere, it was a brilliant event to be part of! 🌭🇩🇪

🏁 What a fantastic gathering at the Porsche Club NSW concourse at Fagan Park, Galston! 🏁

The classic Porsche line-up was seriously impressive, and our restored VW Kombi felt right at home among the cars, conversations and club spirit. 🇩🇪🚐

We loved serving fresh German street food cooked on site, with the Volkswurst grill bringing plenty of flavour to this special motoring event.

With Bavarian bunting overhead, an upbeat oompah band playing live and the courtyard glowing under festoon lights, it was a proper Volkswurst celebration from start to finish! 🎶✨

🏍️ **DC BIKE NIGHT at Shell Crossroads, Cranebrook** 🌭

We brought the food trailer out this time, and the club turned up hungry! Members rolled in for a proper feed: a **German sausage or schnitzel meal**, cooked fresh on the spot.

From the grill loaded with bratwurst and kransky to the line-up of bikes under the lights, it was a great night with a great crowd. 🇩🇪
