To all our wonderful customers in Hastings,

We’re so sorry that Pika Sushi Hastings is still closed. We’re working as quickly as we can to clean up the store and get everything back in order. We really hope to reopen very soon.

This is the current situation inside the shop. It’s heartbreaking to see.

Sadly, the thieves only took around $250, but the damage they’ve caused is much greater. Replacing the front glass alone will cost us close to $5,000, and unfortunately, our insurance doesn’t cover it.

To other local businesses in Hastings and the surrounding areas, please stay alert and take extra precautions. We hope incidents like this come to an end because they don’t just affect one business—they hurt our whole community, especially at a time when so many small businesses are already working hard just to keep going.

To everyone who has reached out, shared kind words, or offered support—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We truly appreciate this amazing Hastings community, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Pika Sushi very soon. ❤️

A really sad morning for us at Pika Sushi Hastings. 💔

Last night, our shop was broken into.

After talking to a few other local business owners, we found out this has happened to quite a few businesses in Hastings over the past year. It’s really sad to see.

To be honest, it’s been a tough couple of weeks for us. Just last week we had to replace our front glass, which was already a big unexpected expense. Like many small businesses, we’re just trying our best to keep going through these challenging times.

We’re sharing this to let other businesses know to be extra careful and hopefully prevent it from happening again.

We love being part of the Hastings community and hope we can all continue looking out for each other. Let’s support one another and keep our community safe, kind, and strong.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us. It truly means a lot. ❤️
