After working as a chef for over 30 years, I'm thrilled to be bringing my passion for food to the community. The Eventful Plate focuses on bringing people together through delicious food. We offer a distinct style of cuisine and are proud to feature a dedicated gluten-free deep fryer. As a Gympie-based business, we are committed to supporting our local community. We are also fully self-sufficient power-wise, running on gas and a generator.

The Eventful Plate is looking for a casual Cheff/Cook with Food Safety Supervisor Qual to join our busy team! We deliver premium event experiences across the Gympie region, and no two days are ever the same.
The Details:
đź“Ť Location: Gympie, QLD
⏱️ Hours: Casual (approx. 35 hours per week)
🗓️ Flexibility: Must be ready to fit some big, fast-paced event days into your schedule.
💰 Pay: Fully compliant with the Hospitality/Catering Award (plus casual loading & weekend penalties!).What You’ll Be Doing:From preparing beautiful menus to handling on-site event setup and pack-down, you will be right in the thick of the action. You will also use your expertise to oversee kitchen compliance and keep our food safety standards flawless.Must-Haves:
đź“ś Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Non-negotiable)đź’Ş Excellent physical fitness to handle active, long days on your feet and equipment setup.
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
