After a lot of thought, many difficult conversations and an incredibly heavy heart, I have made the decision to close the doors of The Dolly.
This is not something I ever imagined I would have to write.
Since opening The Dolly in 2022, we have poured our hearts into creating a place where people could come together, enjoy good food, listen to great music, have a laugh and simply feel welcome.
But unfortunately, the reality of running a small business is that love and passion alone aren’t enough to keep the doors open. Over time, the cost of keeping the business running has outweighed the number of people coming through the doors, and financially, we can no longer make it work.
This decision has absolutely nothing to do with how much we have loved doing what we do. If anything, that makes this decision even harder.
To every single person who has supported us since 2022 — thank you. 🦚
Thank you to those who came in regularly, brought their friends, booked tables, came to karaoke, shared our posts, recommended us to others, celebrated birthdays and special occasions with us, and to those who went out of their way to support The Dolly when you knew we needed it.
To the people who stood beside us through the quiet times and kept encouraging us — we will never forget it.
And to my amazing staff — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t have done this without you.
Closing a business that you have worked so hard to build is heartbreaking. But sometimes you have to accept when the numbers simply don’t make it possible to continue.
To my wonderful Boys , YOU stood beside me and helped me bring a dream alive , all the HARD work you have done your the best . I’ll never forget .
Now I will put all my strength into my health and look after my boys instead of them looking after me .
With love and gratitude,
Kikki & The Dolly team

Ps .. I’d love to have a dig at those that hindered us but I won’t .
