Quite a frosty morning cleared for another pleasant winter day for the final of the Minor Singles Championship. After the "photo shoot" the 2 contenders took to the rink under the watchful eye of Chris Pritchard, who we thank for doing a stella job of marking - thank you Chris! Contenders Ruth Redman and Suzanne Cross both played very competitive bowls but, in the end Ruth 26 defeated Suzanne 12. Congratulations to both girls for making the final! ๐
Social Bowls: Although down in numbers, saw one game of Triples, and one game of 3 bowl pairs with a twist - the players had the challenge of counting their touchers ie the bowls touching or moving the Jack.
๐ข Bev Murray and Julie Kriss 20 defeated Bev Germon and Marge Moore 9.
๐ข In Triples: Jenny Burley, Cheryl West and Jill Carson 19 defeated Di Pritchard, Karen Heiningher and Debbie English 11.
๐ข The "Toucher" of the day was Cheryl West, with an extra "arm" amassed 5.
๐ข And in a draw of the cards the pair of Bev Murray and Julie Kriss won the day.
