These kids on the picture are some of the nicest and best-mannered boys I have met in more than a year of selling gelato at the foreshore. I say this because, over the past year, I have had to report the behaviour of a few boys to the police many times.
These boys on the picture really surprised me with their excellent manners. They did not ask for anything for free ( unlike quite a few other children did before). They spoke to me so politely and respectfully that I had to compliment them by saying, “You are such nice, well-mannered boys.”
One of them told me that his mother had taught him not to play with bad friends and to behave politely and appropriately when he was out.
I was very impressed and told him, “Please tell your mum that I appreciate her teaching you to behave so politely. You are all such nice and well-mannered boys. Please keep it up.”
I truly appreciate this because, as I mentioned above, I have had to report the behaviour of some boys to the police many times. I will not go into detail about those issues here though.
After the boys left, I thought, “Why don’t I take a photo of them, post it here and thank their parents”. So when they returned, we took this photo together.
Thank you so much to the parents of these boys for teaching them to be kind and well-mannered. I truly appreciate it, because I believe that a good community can only be built when each community member is a good person who knows how to behave respectfully.
P.S. I told the boys that I would post this photo on my fan page and share it with the community so their parents could see it. If the parents do not want me to, I am happy to take it down.
Update: there was another boy (about 13-15 years old) go with these boys but he was shy to take this pic. He was a nice and well-mannered boy too. I would like to say thank to his parents too.
