A huge thank you to local artist Tom Verhees from Tomtatts for creating such a special piece for The Motorist Distillery.

Tom has beautifully recreated the historic image of Croce (Roger) Pantorno, and what started as an old photograph has become a striking mural that now greets visitors and sparks conversations about Gembrook’s past. His talent, patience and attention to detail have helped preserve a small but important piece of our town’s story.

For the Pantorno family, spanning four generations, the mural is a wonderful tribute to an ancestor who played a part in the history of our community. For the rest of us, it serves as a reminder of the people and stories that helped shape Gembrook into the town we know and love today.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have Tom’s work as part of our distillery and are proud to share this piece of local history with everyone who walks through our doors.
