We brew a range of high quality fresh beers on a 10bbl (1,200 litre brew house). Co-founder, David Black hung up his suit after over 25 years as a chartered accountant with a Big 4 accounting firm to be the Brewer. After many years’ home brewing and tasting craft beers, and having completed the Federation University Graduate Certificate in Brewing, he took up his life-calling.

After a massive weekend with Blackbear bbq at the brewery and pouring at Old Bar Beach Festival today is a more relaxed day !
Taproom is open 11am to 4pm but, as we pack up the bbq and transition back to our usual pizza menu, we unfortunately won’t have food available today. You are however very welcome to bring in / order in food from one of the other awesome cafes. / restaurants around town.

Early morning cook at the brewery!

We are super pumped to have BlackBear BBQ (of channel 7 fame and a top 25 'BBQer' outside the US) today and tomorrow (Sunday) serving up the goods at the brewery (3 Dalman St, Forster) from 11am - 6pm. There's plenty of variety including fantastic brisket and ribs from local butcher, !

We are looking forward to seeing you at Old Bar Beach Festival this weekend. We will be in the bar serving up the b**rs!

In the meantime, we have our first winner of the Old Bar Beach Festival merch competition draw today (congrats Matt C)! We will do our second draw on 18 Oct. To enter pick up a four pack of our OBBF limited release pale ale from Old Bar Cellars , Old Bar Tavern, or the brewery taproom, scan the QR code on the top of the four pack and enter before 5pm on 17 October when the competition closes.
