Sunny Sunday on a long weekend — we'll take it. ☀️

Mark Lindsay’s Doo-Wop Entertainment is with us today for Sunday Sippers from 2pm. A good mix of ballads, country, pop and rock — exactly the kind of arvo soundtrack this weather calls for. Come down, grab a spot, stay a while 🎶😎

Bistro is fully booked for lunch and dinner today, but we've got outdoor seating available on a walk-in basis — no heating yet, so rug up once the sun drops.

If the long weekend is taking you up the mountain, pop into Erica Ski Hire just across the road before you head off — chains, toboggans, and the latest conditions, sorted.

Kings Birthday Long Weekend is here — and Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort has officially opened for the 2026 snow season 🏔️⛷️

If you're heading up, we'd recommend booking ahead as it fills up fast.

For chains, gear hire, and conditions updates, swing by Erica Ski Hire right across the road from us before you head up.

Back here at the pub, we've got live acoustic music to kick things off right. Peter Morrison - Solo Acoustic & DJ is on from 7pm — and while dinner in the bistro is fully booked, there are still tables outside and in the bar on a first-come basis. Grab a spot and stay for the tunes 🎶🎸

With cooler days forecast for the rest of the week, it definitely feels like Winter is setting in ❄️

A quick heads up — we'll be closed today (Wednesday 3rd) and tomorrow (Thursday 4th June) to get some maintenance done as we head into Winter.
We'll be back open on Friday from 11:30am, good as new and rearing to go! Happy hour from 4:30pm 🍻 meat tray at 7pm 🥩

Speaking of the weekend, Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort opens for the 2026 snow season this Saturday 6th June! 🏔️

If you're planning to head up, now's the time to sort out your gear, wheel chains, and resort bookings. Check out the mtbawbaw socials and their website for the latest conditions and what to expect before you head up.

Remember — ⛓️ Snow chains are required when travelling to alpine resorts.

Erica Ski Hire is right across the road from us, with everything from wheel chains, toboggans and ski’s to gloves, snow ball makers & boots! 🎿 Pop in, get sorted, and head up the mountain knowing you're sorted 😊

We hope you’re enjoying the adventures of your weekend, including the 4 hours of no power we had yesterday arvo/evening, as we say goodbye to Autumn 🍂 and head into Winter ❄️

Lasagne on the chef specials today 🤤 and a few specials in the works for the coming season 😋🙌🏼

To help us farewell Autumn, the incredible duo Harpin' On are live in the bar from 2pm today 🎸🎙️ with some great tunes for us to enjoy during Sunday Sippers 🥃

Talk about throwing a spanner in the works 🔧

Power went out at 3:18pm this afternoon and as we wait for power to be restored, the pub remains closed.

Originally, 4:34pm was the estimated restoration time and, while power came back on briefly, it was gone seconds later.

For now we wait until AusNet do their bit and get power restored to the community.

Tuesday - Year 9 students in for dinner as part of their school camp ⛺️

Thursday - deliveries incoming from 10am�Friday - happy hour, meat tray raffle, catching up with the locals 👊🏼

With just two weeks until the opening of the snow season, it looks like we’ve got some rain coming next week as the weather cools down before winter kicks off 🥶

We didn't take home the trophy this time — but being a finalist in 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 - 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 at the AHA Vic State of Excellence Awards in our first year of entering? We'll absolutely take that. 🏆

Massive congratulations to Five Flags Hotel- Campbells Creek and Western Hotel, Ballarat on your joint win — well deserved. 🥳 and sharing the room with Stoff & Mez from Victoria Hotel Dimboola was a blast — we were right there cheering when they picked up Bush Pub of the Year. 🏕️ Legends.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists across every category 🥇

Nights like this are a good reminder of just how much pubs mean — a place for locals to catch up, for car and bike clubs to roll into town, for 4WD and hunting crews to make their checkpoint, for groups to celebrate their victories — and for some, to sit quietly and treasure a memory.
